Happening through August 12th, the annual Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival returns for its 48th year.   Enjoy longstanding favorites and discover something new with three jam-packed weeks of world-class music, dance, and spoken word on the plazas of Lincoln Center.  And it’s absolutely FREE! Try to arrive early to secure a seat in the main area.

Outdoor free summer movies, some old movies  (Ghostbusters, Mulan, When Harry Met Sally, The Philadelphia Story ) and more recent ones out in 2017, ( Wonder Woman,  Star Wars:The Last Jedi,  Wonder, The Big Sick).  Just bring a blanket, picnic basket, and enjoy a movie underneath the stars.


Friday Evenings at the MoMA

So you want to see the Picassos in the Museum of Modern Art, but don’t want to commit to the $25 admission fee? Lucky for you, the museum offers free admission every Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 pm. You can also visit the sculpture garden for free every morning from 9:30 to 10 am.   Be prepared for crowds, but the entry line does move fast.    For tips for visitors
